Anybody ever try playing with The Justifier?
Since yesterday, I've been playing the first part of Snatcher "Junker HQ Intro and The Abandoned Factory". It's not too bad. I even beat the part with the insectors without taking any hits, although I'm not sure if I've gotten past that part without taking any hits using the controller before. Anyway, anybody else ever try it out? I wonder if there was a light gun that could be used with the PC Engine version. I don't even know if there was even a light gun made for PCE.

The feature was sega cd exclusive, no other Snatcher version has it.
Yes I did try it a couple of times, It gave a nice feeling.

Yeah, I can understand that. The few times I've tried it with The Justifier so far, I usually hold onto the gun while I'm holding the controller. So I got the gun in the right hand, and the controller in both hands all at once.Snatcher42 wrote:I used a Justifier the first time I played Snatcher over 10 years ago. It added a lot to the experience... Not so much the shooting itself, but having to drop the gamepad and make that mad dash for the gun every time a shooting sequence came along. Really upped the tension!

LOL. I don't think I've ever gotten killed in the game, but I have died twice in the MSX version from trying to figure out how to fire the damn gun.Osiris wrote:The friend who introduced me to Snatcher would play it with the Justifier in a holster on his hip.One time a shooting sequence started and he reached for it so hurridly that he pulled it out the port and by the time he got it back in and sorted he was dead.

Yeah, everytime I used that gun (with other games, and not just this), I just feel like a total badass.Snatcher42 wrote:Hah hah classic, nothing like packing the heat of a bright blue lightgun!Osiris wrote:The friend who introduced me to Snatcher would play it with the Justifier in a holster on his hip.

I'm a huge fan of gun gaming (Time Crisis, House of the Dead, Virtua Cop, Vampire Night, Ninja Assault etc). I love those arcade fixes. So playing with the Justifier is imperative for me, I love it.
And about Osiris' buddy, well, what can I say? Nothing like losing yourself in the immersive world of Snatcher! Haha. I take it, he really enjoyed himself then?

Man, i would love to play Snatcher with a lightgun! I can see it now...
Me: Oh! Insectors! Time to drop the controller and pick up the Justifier!
Me: .....
Me: It's unbelievably light....
Game: *ZAP* *ZAP*! GAME OVER!
Me: Wha--?
It would give the game such an awesome feel!

I think it would be neat to have the gun in a holster, like one of the previous posts talked about. Like one of those holsters detectives have, under their coats.
I remember when my little brother bought one of those cheap controllers that has a bunch of old games built into it, that you plug in directly to the TV. Anyway, it came with a light gun too, which you could use to play Wild Gunman. I love that game, especially the Draw contest.
Just for kicks, i had the gun in my pocket, and when it was time to draw, i would pull it up quickly and fire. It was fun, but i guess i used too much force because i broke the trigger. Needless to say, my brother was not happy....
Luckily, he got a new one on the warranty.
