Metal Gear Papercraft models from Konami ^_^

Hello,

I saw pics of some TGS or E3 promotional items, that konami was giving away for free at times. Among these there were sheets for building paper model of the Rex and the Shagohod.

My request is simple: are scans for these items available online? I'd love to build them!

Hope I didn't ask anything illegal.

I have these scans, I think I got them from MGS:TUS a long time ago. I'm pretty sure they're not illegal, as they were distributed for free right? Since MGS:TUS is down I could send them to your e-mail, if no one here have any links to these scans somewhere.

I was sure they used to be on MetalGear.net but I can't see them anywhere. Artemio scanned a couple of the sheets here, but not enough to make a full model.

I'd scan the rest, but my scanned is dead. I need to buy a new one (hence, I haven't posted any new scans in a long while)

Pics sent! If anyone else wants these, and if MGS:TUS doesn't get well anytime soon (as I think they have them in their galleries), I'll be glad to send them to you or alternatively upload them somewhere.

Thank you very much Cyan!! I'll build that asap and I'll take a shot for the forum!

BTW, I still need scans for the Shagohod papercraft; if someone has them and can kindly share them...

ranny: You could PM me your e-mail address, but I'm wondering if I should upload these somewhere. I don't really know where the most convenient place for that would be though.

I did, one complete and the other halfway:

I built this the weekend it was on my hands, on 02/06/2003.. back then most people thought my assembly was wrong. It proved not to be =P

Wow, I hadn't seen that before. It must've taken a while to construct. I'll hopefully get to build mine in a few weeks.

It took roughly two days, i recommend you buy one of those wooden tools that have a spherical metal tip to mark with a rules the folds before doing them, big help.

Any idea what the tool is called or where I might get one?

I can't find the specific oen I used, I can't even find it in my room. But all these serve the exact same purpose:

http://www.origami-resource-center.com/ ... bones.html

http://www.custompaper.com/Shop/Tools/bonefolder.html

I am sure you can fid something for the purpose, just test it a bit and figue how well it does in complex patterns. You'll need something with a pointy tip (not cutting of course, but small enough for the purpose of the small folds you'll have to make). Using a toothpic to apply glue is a must as well, a good enough paper so it will not get all wet and a glue that is not too liquid.
