I just wondered, is there any Soundtrack with the song that plays at the end of Act 2 in the Sega CD version?
Spoiler:
The one that plays after Cunningham is defeated.
In the PCE version it's Beyond Sorrows but I've never heard the song from the Sega CD version on any OST. And that sucks, because it's a gread song.

It's on the Sega-CD ISO, in the folder there's a number of sound clips from the game. One of the clips is the end scene from Act 2, featuring the voices, sounds and the music you're referring to. Unfortunately, I've never seen it as a standalone track.

Anyone know?

Yeah, I have that one, but I'd love to hear a full version without any voices.

When I watched LiquidPolicenauts Youtube videos of the Saturn version, I noticed that the song plays a little longer than it does in the Sega CD version. As much as I hate the music in the Saturn version, I have to admit that was awesome.

The first few seconds of that song in the Sega CD version act 2 ending sounded very similar to "Beyond Sorrows", IMO.

Yes, a couple of the tracks were remixed, like the track playing whilst Chin Shu Oh is giving his speech is awesome in the Sega CD version, but rather tepid in the Pc Engine version. There are some improvements, and some disappointments. I like the music for both of those versions.

The Saturn version, like you said, the only highlight is that bit with Cunningham...that's it though, the rest of the music sounds like a monologue on shitting. Ugh.

I personally like the PC Engine soundtrack more than the Sega CD one, reason being: It's as close as possible to (IMO, the best Snatcher soundtrack ever) the original PC88 soundtrack. I'm a fan of video game soundtracks with FM sound quality, and the PC88 Snatcher soundtrack is no exception.

The only downside with the PC Engine soundtrack is that they did away with a few songs (which I liked) from the original soundtrack. I personally would have loved to hear how the original 2 part ending theme (Master of Puppets Among The Disease/We Have to Struggle for Our Future Against Our Doubt) might have sounded like using Roland Sound Space.

I agree.. I have always believed it is a variation of beyond sorrow.. it has a lot of melodic similarities. Keep in mind that the Sega CD version has a lot of music not present elsewhere though.

For the record, pretty much all the versions of Snatcher have exclusive music.
Spoiler:
For example, in the MSX version, there's a song which isn't heard in any other version of the game called "Midnight Science", which is played when you enter the factory, unlike most versions, where you normally hear "Creeping Silence". Also exclusive to the MSX version is a 4-note vibrator tune that is heard when you're looking for Kathrine and Alice, as well as the part where you have to look for clues on who at JunkerHQ is a snatcher.

Quite true... but the Sega CD version has versions from all previous instances and from some soundtracks with mixes. It is a bastard child that was fully intended for the western market, unlike the previous ones. And the 32 bit ones, well... I rather not listen to their music =P
