ah, you got it. i was debating on it but then i was sick last night and didn't wake up to watch the end of the auction.

btw, the MGS3 poster you have is way bigger than this poster, these are B2 and very small compared. i debated putting them up together but they just don't look good in that way.

i'll be looking at frames for my posters soon, i think you guys will get a kick out of seeing what i do with the wall in my living room.

EDIT: actually i dunno if that MGS3 poster was made in japan, if it did you could have a resized one, but i have a rather large one... at least i think it is. i seem to remember it being large when i unrolled it.

Yeah I'm gonna wait until I get it to see how they look together. If the sizes are off I do have another plan in mind. I'll put the MGS4 poster (signed one) beside the Old Snake poster I scored for $5 and put the MGS3 one somewhere else.

I think my MGS3 poster is about 20x30".

Yeah I was shocked I got it so low (mgs4 poster). I've seen these close crazy high, and I think it's the first time I've seen it under 50,000Y - but I didn't watch these too carefully until recently. I figure it was either this or the premium+ pack tmr, and 50 of those premium+ psp packs were made for every 1 of these that exist so I know I can most likely get it later.

I think the only poster left I want is the MGS4 dissolve poster which is quite common now. The Snake vs Monkey one is pretty cool too I'd probably score that if it was cheap.

thats definitely bigger, like i thought. it'll look better next to the black old snake poster.

the dissolve poster doesn't show up as often as it did, but the price has cooled off. same with the snake poster, tho on YAJ you could find a poster like you found yours, for 5-10 bucks easy if you just wait.

most all signed MGS4 movie posters close 500 and above, you are correct. i've been watching them for awhile. the last movie only (no signature) went for 200$ on YAJ, and in america the poster went for 250$ while in europe ive seen it go for around 125$

i'm surprised you bought the poster, since you mentioned you werent interested if it got too high. i guess with the LE its a bit better, but the LEs are going for around 50 now. the paper from the event i'd like to have as well, but im not going to go too crazy looking anymore. i think i've met most of all my MGS4 collecting requirements now. there's only a couple pieces left for me to find.

Yeah my cap for the poster was 50,000Y before fees so this just barely fit under it.

It did help that Rinkya shipped my mgs3 poster in a PVC pipe so now I have complete faith it'll arrive in perfect condition.

No more posters for me that's for sure.

LOL!!!

Remember this gem that closed at $72.27? (shipping was $16 to me)

Image
http://cgi.ebay.com/Metal-Gear-Solid-2- ... otohosting

Well, I just won this for 1,102Y (less than $11)

ImageImage Image

So I got it over $60 cheaper *AND* I got another copy of MGS2 with it. Finally I score a good deal!

Well, that does it for me. I woke up at 6:30am for a poster and I stayed up until about 1am for this.

NO NO NO

I didn't buy it at $72.27, someone else did heh. I wouldn't have paid more than $25 for it. I was just showing what someone on Friday paid for it.

I see where the confusion would come from, as for some odd reason I included what shipping to me would have cost h :/

Oh, Yahoo Japan. This is the link.

What I won this morning:

Image Image
Sealed MGS2
http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r49282258

Only 3,500Y. Last week I was outbid on one with my max bid at 13,500Y so I'm glad I got outbid because I saved hundred bucks. Yes, I REALLY wanted this item.

Definately been a good weeked for deals. For about $50 total (minus fees) I got the sealed MGS2, the optical card, an open copy of MGS2 and a poster. I've seen all those items individually close higher (except the open MGS2) than what I paid for everything.

I've done the same a few times. I can't believe this went so low because last week when I lost out I think the top 3 bidders were:

14,000Y (winner)
13,500Y (me)
13,100Y (someone else)

And others that bid much high than 3,500Y as well. That one last week did come with that Making Of DVD but it was unsealed and they only go for like $10 anyways.

I *REALLY* would've kicked myself had I won it at 13,500 and saw it close 10,000Y cheaper a week later. Actually I probably would've bought both to even out the cost heh.

The only JPN releases I need sealed are Document, MGS2 Premium, Subsistence and Subsistence Headset ver so hopefully by the end of the year I can complete the collection. Well, I'll still need some PSOne book and other greatest hit releases but I'll buy those cheap when I go to Japan. Oh yeah I guess I need MG Online and MGS4 regular edition as well. Dammit.

Heh yeah. All but 2 are on yahoo japan right now, and mattbellamy is selling one of the others.

It's the Document of MGS2 sealed that's been hard to find, although I haven't really been looking until recently. I have an open one for my sorter, there's tons of those around.

Congrats mate, are you sticking with PAL specifically or are you gonna venture out into other regions too?

You had a good deal with the substance and VR Missions specifically, I couldn't find one that cheap when I was looking a couple of months ago. So I stopped, I'm glad I did now cos I'm only looking for a sealed copy.

I'd like to get the Snake and Meryl set too! Nice one mate.

You have a collection/wish list or website at all?

I love nosing at peoples collections! lol.

As far as i know Sevket he will stick to PAL ;)

Thats awesome Sevket, you finally got the games =D

damn, that MGS3S was expensive. Those are sure getting rare. And i love that figure set. Probably the only figs which look good sealed, will you keep them sealed?

Great stuff, good to have another PAL collector on board. I think the furthest I may stray from PAL is JAP NTSC, but if I go that for it will be sealed items only.

For now I'm looking for sealed PAL cos they seem rarer than everything else, which makes collecting them more fun, but bloody difficult! lol.

Should definitely keep those figures sealed, although they already look opened, they look so cool in that box. I loved the pictures Screaming Mantis posted of the McFarlane figures though, so I'd be ultra tempted to take them out to play! lol.

Thanks for the postive comments guys.

Yes I do collect PAL games as I am from a PAL region and want to give these game a spin from time to time. Now the only one I am missing is Metal Gear Solid 3 which I will be getting at some point down the line. And it is true that Subsistence was really expensive but Buy it now prices were all above £60 and so many people seems to bid on each copy available on Ebay

As from MGS figures yes I do plan to keep them sealed just to make sure I do not lose any small parts and most importantly to keep them away from my 4.5 year old son (he broke My Raiden and Solidus in the past). But deep in my heart I know that I want to open it

Yeah Subsistence is expensive but it's worth it mate. I too am looking for MGS3 but I'm specifically looking for the steel tin cos it's so much cooler than the regular version! :)

Good luck with it mate, I'll keep my eyes out for you.

P.S. Enjoy your purchases, sealed or not, all that matters is that you get your kick out of owning it!

This was a tough one. Thanks to Lady_Serpente for the link.

He's a German seller and sifting through his feedback he does NOT sell outside of Germany. My first couple emails went ignored, however, I can be quite a per$ua$ive person if you catch my drift.

This could quite possibly be my last purchase for a LONG time. I'm not stopping collecting (or selling my stuff), but I might have a huge financial burdern coming up. My wife and I found a new house we like, and we don't have time to sell ours before buying it as we're competing with other offers. So there's a good chance I might have to carry 2 mortgages until we sell our place.

One the plus side it's 2x the size of our current place so I'll be able to start the "Metal Gear Museum" which I will chronicle it's building on a thread here.

Of course, things could fall through you never know, but I foresee we'll be buying something in the near future.
