Snatcher influences in The Animatrix

Post by randomwab »

I have been watching the Animatrix today and i noticed many things that realate to Snatcher or Policenauts. Mainly i saw there in "The Second Renaissance" Parts 1 and 2. In part 1 it shows of how the robots rise up against the humans, and there are many things that seem to tie in with Snatcher, specifically one scene where a women is killed, but she is actually a robot that looks like a women, very much like the snatchers hiding behind our skin. And part two there are many simillarities. If you have the DVD, watch through them all and you will see some things that are very interesting. I would list some more but i really dont have time too at the minute

I'd rather say those are direct Terminator influences.... I'll rewatch thoise cuts (though I must say I disliked those in particular)

I myself didnt really like the Animatrix, though the film "Beyond" is supurb. Koji Morimoto really did a brilliant piece, and i love it to much. The best film in the 9 by far
