what does that mean?

if u were working on it, u have to do progress!

i dont get it!

when u are working on putting the text into the game, how does that look?

what exactly r u doing?

or r u just trying different options?

again, i dont get it!

when ur not doing any pregress, then what r u doing?

r u actual working on it?
or rather, when was the last time u were working on it?

I think no progress generally means that no major walls have been climbed. That doesn't mean that nobody's working on it, it just means that bridges are being crossed, but there's no significant leap yet.

You know, I'm worried to re-read my posts and ask myself the same question. I always tried to present myself well, but, I have to say, this job is sucking more life out of me than I originally thought.

Sure, mainstream games are fun, but you haven't tried Snatcher yet.

Because the work that remains to be done right now is an all-or-nothing type of situation. It's like saying someone is partially pregnant. You're either one or the other, and likewise, the text either displays without errors or it doesn't. Right now it doesn't, and when it does, that's the progress we'll report. We're trying different solutions to get there.

Oh, the jealousy!! :x Notice the file is 904 MB- when I compressed my disc images of PSX Policenauts to 7z, they came out to be 900 MB total. Add a few megs for the emulator, and apparently Sony uses 7z too. Cool, I guess? :???:

DARN it! If Japan has released Policenauts on the PSN. then that means you guys have got to figure something out so that the english people can get some of the goodness.

they wouldn't be releasing Policenauts on the PSN if it wasn't for the metal gear craze. plus, I have a feeling a lot of references are going to be made to that game and snatcher in MGS4.

hey, also... when I saw the screenshot I was about to sh!t myself thinking that you guys actually showed a "progress pic" of where you were. I mean, that's what some people want to see. something that proves that you are working on this biznatch.

I'M ALSO F'N CERTAIN THAT ONCE THIS PATCH RELEASES KOJIMA IS GOING TO PERSONALLY CONGRATULATE THE PEOPLE WHO WORKED ON IT AND BE SUPER THANKFUL AND A BUMRUSH OF THE TRANSLATED GAME WILL BE ALL OVER THE NET AND MAGS AND SOMEDAY MAYBE A COLLABORATION WILL BE MADE WHERE IT'S PUT ON THE PSN.

think about it? Do you absolutely think that Kojima doesn't know of this project? If he doesn't then Ryan Payton sure does.
So... you know how important this translation project patch is.

I know you guys are working on it, I believe that you will jump that mutha hurtle and make headlines.

Oppurtunities are abound to make this patch go down in history, you just got to figure something out. I love you guys, believe in you, and would do ANYTHING to help support if I could.

I no longer am an annoying biznatch and I will only be hoping, praying, and wishing you the best of luck for the completion of this project! :)

Not sure about that. I haven't counted them, but I think there's between 70 and 100 PSone games on the Japanese PSN, now. Some of them are as obscure as "Pet In TV" and "Jumping Flash 3: Robbit Mon Dieu". I wouldn't expect Policenauts' PSN release is directly connected to the upcoming release of MGS4.

Why wouldn't ANY of the 200 some Metal Gear makers not know of the project? Being directly under Hideo at least one of them would know and most likely have brought it up to Kojima out of excitement, appreciation, interest.

Has anyone not figured this out? It's even been shown in a magazine article once about this project.

so... someone is bound to know within the Kojima productions hq.

Finish this project for Kojima and the rewards to come if not for the fans!

I would guess that it is meant to tie in with MGS4 in the same way that the release of MGS1 on PSN does. It would have required relatively little work, and now was a perfect time for them to do it.

Yes indeed Marc, WHICH IS EVEN MORE OF A REASON to finish the english translation patch of Policenauts. Release it maybe a couple months after MGS4 and not only will you guys get some serious HEAD but it will make the replay value of MGS4 go up some more!

Realize the importance of this patch. finishing this project is no joke. Which is why I believe you guys didn't give up on it. Which is why I'm certain the patch will be finished soon. release it in the Fall if you don't want to rush the quality of the game, fine with me. Just understand the huge potential of fame, fortune, and thankfulness this patch might do you.

BELIEVE! and get to work you lazy bums! I don't care if you have a personal life now, when you want something done you get it done, right? So... make this one of your priorities!

man... if you guys don't release this patch soon... then my life is a waste of time, there's no reason for me to exist. the white snow has been tainted by the red rose of death and my soul is burdened by the cheese-doodles of pickleton.

DARN IT! I had it at first, then I totally lost it.

Hm... then it isn't rape if you enjoy it.

rape is no joke by the way. so don't say such things.

rather... say something like, "I will devour my own flesh if the patch doesn't come out".

More or less.

because it isn't. no matter what, it isn't funny.
