Suppose Hideo Kojima delayed the original PC88 and MSX versions of Snatcher to include the 3rd and final act. What do you would have happened?
Would Act 3 have been identical to the one on the home console versions?
Would we even have the home console versions of Snatcher?
Would new Snatcher songs have been added?
Would the game still have the original 2-part ending theme?
Would SD Snatcher even exist?
What if the original Snatcher had been delayed

You're probably right on that one, because correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't SD Snatcher more of an excuse to make money off of the Snatcher name, by making a spin-off out of it, retelling the story in a humorous RPG kind of way, and at the same time, giving fans of the original game an idea of what their original vision of Act 3 was like, because of the mere fact that the original version was rushed? The Spoony Hou wrote:I doubt they would have made SD Snatcher, and Act 3 would probably be close to what the final part in SD Snatcher was.

I think Kojima just wanted to end the story, but didn't have enough story to make a complete new game, and probably didn't think a re-release with Act 3 would be a good idea. Nowadays this works, but maybe not at the time.
Was Snatcher that much of a hit at the time? Wouldn't then Konami want another similar game, probably a Snatcher 2, forcing Kojima to write some more crap, or putting some other person in charge of doing that?
