Man, I wouldn't mind owning a blaster like that.
Are you gonna redo the intro scene with the eerie monologue for this mod as well?

Re: question...
I never got it working either. I think it's because the emulator doesn't support CD-Audio.
One of the main reasons no one usually bothers with pc98-emulators. They never work properly or are hard to setup.

Re: question...
Isn't there a virtual harddisk option for pc98 emulators like there are in Amiga emulators? You know, create an image of a harddrive that will be stored as a file onto your PC, which will then be internally "formatted" by the emulator.

Re: Project Status (4/14/09): 5 Bugs Till Beta
Well, let's just hope none of them little bastards turns out to be a tool of absolute annihilation, destroying every last bit of hope and dreams we cherished while waiting for this patch to happen. 5 is a nice, small number. My PSX version of policenauts knows something great is about to happen. I h...

Re: Current Project Status (3/30/09): 9 Bugs Till Beta
Good thing I didn't shit myself when I saw the current number of bugs left to go. Nine. Wow... That's like 1 less than 10, which is a 2-digit number. Fancy that! I'm guessing you're pretty bored with all them questions about when it's gonna be finished etc. But I was wondering... If during beta test...

Re: which ver. is your personal favorite, and the cost to play
All these spoilers are making me sad :( I recently got to thinking whether the growing interest in Hideo Kojimas games would also spark interest for his older productions. I'd stab a baby seal to get an english-translated Policenauts to the PSN store or something. (Yes, I know you don't want to get ...

20 more holes in my soul left to close up... Then Hideo Kojima produced gaming bliss.
On a related note, any good psx emulators for OS X? I just bought a macbook and it would be great to be able to play policenauts on the fly

I'm a fan of the original, and still own it. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work on my PC anymore. Looking forward to this! \,,/

Re: The "SNATCHER MOD" ***UPDATED 1-22-09*** MT District Concept
I was reading about your PC dying on you and as someone who has "been here, done that", I can actually give you some advice on getting at least a semi-decent PC until you can save money for a new one. When my dear old Betsy bit the dust, I was ready to throw my monitor along with the broke...

Re: 15 Movies that inflenced Kojima
It would be interesting to know which movies influenced which games. Of course, there are a few "well duh!" ones on the list (Invasion of the body snatchers, anyone?), but still, maybe I can harass Hideo Kojima about this next time he feels the undeniable urge to visit Finland.

Re: Current Project Status (1/14/09): Alpha Testing
Or do what I do, play the game on an emulator, route the video output to a TV and use my Nintendo DS as a wireless gaming pad. Enchances the graphics a bit and you can use the widescreen without having to fiddle with TV settings.

Re: Fallout 3 was a half-assed game. (CONTAINS UNHID SPOILERS)
You didn't exactly say what makes them so "unplayable" nowadays. As long as you don't prefer graphics over gameplay, I can't see any reason why one couldn't still enjoy these games (I got my friend excited about them after he was a bit disappointed in Fallout 3. He's never tried the previo...

Works for me. Now, I know this is kinda early but... Anything new to tell us about progress? Excuse my Finnish insensitivity, but I'm really bored and that was the only thing that came to mind.

Re: Fallout 3 was a half-assed game. (CONTAINS UNHID SPOILERS)
In a nutshell, I think Fallout 1 & 2 both had good story, great characters (Sulik, Harold, The Mutant Master...) and a world where you were provided with choices to progress as you saw fit. All these things were left out of Fallout 3. If I'm not completely mistaken, you could finish Fallout 1&am...

Re: Current Project Status (12/19/08): Alpha Testing
If it's not too late to post an opinion on the telops, I say keep the original graphics and provide a translation beneath the picture screen (where in-game text is shown). Also, to our German friend who thought he was being clever, the word "homoerotische" isn't all that hard to figure out...

Re: Current Project Status (12/19/08): Alpha Testing
I have another question. As I read through slowbeefs description of things yet to be done with the patch one mind-flabbergasting question popped to mind. I got the impression that most of the work that's still not done has to be made by hand, using tedious methods and building it pixel-by-pixel with...
